Steven Fulop

Our campaign is dedicated to delivering the most comprehensive and impactful policy agenda of any candidate for Governor. We go beyond empty promises, offering detailed, actionable proposals to drive real change in New Jersey. Each month, we unveil a new section of our platform, showcasing our commitment to progress. During his time as Mayor, Steven has shown what smart, progressive leadership can accomplish – opening a new chapter for Jersey City. Under his leadership, Jersey City became the 1st city in New Jersey — and the 6th city in the United States – to ensure paid sick leave. Mayor Steven Fulop has led the city to record economic development, benefiting families of all income levels — all without raising taxes.

Josh Gottheimer

Josh Gottheimer is running to be the lower taxes, lower costs Governor. Rooted in his Jersey Values, Josh knows that we must make Jersey more affordable for families and help address the high cost of living in New Jersey to help the state grow and thrive for the next generation. Josh is a Jersey guy, through and through. On one side, Josh’s immigrant great-grandparents, started in Linden, and then his mom, Gwenn (of blessed memory) and her parents moved to Monmouth County, where she graduated from Asbury Park High School, going onto become a teacher in Elizabeth. Josh’s dad grew up in West Orange, where he started his small business in his basement, while going to Rutgers. Josh grew up in North Caldwell and went to West Essex High School, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard Law School. As a kid, Josh helped customers at his dad’s store, spending time at the shore and the Meadowlands, and catching a Springsteen show every chance he could get (and still does)! When it came time to raise his family, Josh and his wife, Marla, moved to Bergen County. They have two wonderful kids, Ellie, 15, and Ben, 12.

Miki Sherrill

U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Navy helicopter pilot, former federal prosecutor, wife, and mother of four kids – Mikie Sherrill proudly serves New Jersey in Congress and is running for governor to make life easier and more affordable for Garden State families. Her career has been defined by service to her country and New Jersey. Mikie was inspired to join the military by her grandfather, a World War II veteran. Following her service in the Navy, Mikie attended and graduated from law school. She worked in private practice and then joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Jersey. As an Outreach and Reentry Coordinator, Mikie established programs to develop trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve and helped people leaving prison to gain employment, housing, and education to restart their lives. Then as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, she prosecuted federal cases to keep our communities safe and worked to take illegal guns off the streets of New Jersey.

Sean Spiller Democrat for Governor 2025

I’m Sean Spiller and I am running for Governor of New Jersey to give all of us a voice. For too long, millionaires, Wall Street interests, and an entrenched political class have called the shots in our state, leaving the rest of us behind. No more.
As an educator, I believe deeply in the transformative power of a quality education. It’s time to make sure that public schools provide every child with the tools and opportunities to pursue their dreams.
Like so many New Jerseyans, my family and I have struggled to find housing that meets our needs and that we can afford. Like so many New Jerseyans, I know what it's like to have a full-time job but still worry about paying the bills. That’s why as mayor I passed rent control that helped hard-working families secure a better quality of life.
By investing in public education, helping small businesses grow, and making sure our economy works for regular people we can create an environment that improves the lives of those hard-working people that drive our economy in the first place.
Now's the time for leadership that reflects our communities — and I'm ready for the job.

Steve Sweeney

I was a union ironworker for years, up on the steel, constructing buildings around New Jersey. But I became a public servant after our baby, Lauren, was born prematurely, with Down Syndrome. That turned my world upside down, and being Lauren’s dad made me a better person. Eventually, I became Senate President, serving everyone in New Jersey. I passed a fair minimum wage, indexed, so that if costs go up, pay goes up. I expanded paid family leave, so families come first when that’s most important. I passed laws protecting marriage equality and women’s reproductive freedom. And I helped New Jersey accomplish a lot for people with disabilities, in education, in jobs and training, in health care. But much more needs to be done – the fight isn’t over. If you want to, you should be able to work with dignity, buy a home, raise a family, care for loved ones and retire confidently – all in New Jersey. That’s why I’m asking for your support in my campaign for governor. Because New Jersey is worth fighting for.
